You Have Been Called to More

The arrival of the new year makes us think about this. We want to be more – more focused, more healthy, more of who we know we were meant to become. We want an undo button so we can turn back time and make better choices. We look at those around us and wish that we were more like them. You have been called to more– but it doesn’t look like all the expectations we place upon ourselves.

It is simple really. It is not about us doing or accomplishing more. God is asking us to surrender more of ourselves to Him. We simply need to stop striving and start surrendering.

What would that look like? Well, Paul told us exactly what it looks like in Romans 12:1-3.

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing and perfect will of God. For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.”

Presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice means that we do not live for us, but for God. We wake up and recognize that we are not here to be happy, get our way and be celebrated. We are here to bring honor and glory to God. We are to serve Him and walk in obedience to Him. We are to live our life in a way that when others look at us, they see Him.

Remember Abraham? He walked up that hill to present his son as a sacrifice to His Lord. But God didn’t let Him. Just like that – God is not asking us to die for Him, He is asking us to live for Him

You see, we are not to be like everyone else. We are not to be chasing our desires, they are not what defines us. Jesus – who He is and what He has done – defines us. We are children of God – forgiven – redeemed – chosen – His creation – loved. We have nothing to prove. If we are His Masterpiece, then why are we trying to lessen ourselves to become a forged copy of someone else? We are enough! We are His beloved! Now, let’s raise our hands in total surrender to Him and step into the more that He has for us! As we learn to surrender more and more of ourselves, He will reveal more and more to us.

You have been called to more. Let’s stop striving to become someone else. Let’s stop striving to prove ourselves. Let’s stop striving to find acceptance. Let’s surrender. Let’s lay our life down as a living sacrifice. Let’s live out our more.

Hi friend 🤍

If you’ve ever felt called to more… but unsure what your next step is—you are not alone.

My name is Pam Pegram, and I’m a Leadership and Personal Growth Coach who loves Jesus.

I help Christian women gain clarity, build confidence, and step into Christ-centered influence—at work, in their community, and at home.

Because you were never meant to just get by…
You were created to live with purpose, impact others, and walk fully in what God has for you.

Here’s what I believe:

  • If you are a believer, you are called to lead

  • Leadership is influence—being salt and light (Matthew 5)

  • It’s not about position, personality, or platform

  • It’s about living on purpose right where God has placed you

How do we do that?

Through the Called to Lead Framework, where we focus on:

✔️ The formation of you as a leader (identity, mindset, beliefs)
✔️ The formation of your leadership (connection, vision, influence)
✔️ The practical application of impacting others and leaving a legacy

Now that you’re here—let’s stay connected 🤍
