His Grace is Sufficient

The morning after my Daddy’s death, this verse was like a news ticker running through my mind… “My grace is sufficient for you”……….”My grace is sufficient for you”……….”My grace is sufficient for you”. Grief is strange. It comes in waves. You are doing okay and then all of the sudden a wave of grief washes over you and you are caught up in it.

How strange it is to be living in a world without my Daddy. He was an amazing man and I have never walked through a hard season without him. He would stop by unannounced and just check on me. He always told me how proud he was of me. And I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that his love for me was unconditional. I have been blessed to have him for 84 years. There are so many sweet memories, so many lessons taught to his children & grandchildren and a strong example set for us to follow. I am grateful – so very grateful – that this incredible godly man was my Daddy.

So, here I sit with a choice. Do I dive into the deep end of grief or do I bask in the light of God’s amazing grace?

His grace is sufficient for Me. Jesus is enough to carry me through this time. He is bigger than my pain and stronger than my sorrows. He is all I need and I need Him every hour – or actually every moment.

But then... I realize I am not alone. You need Him, too.

What is the source of your grief or your pain? What feelings or circumstances have come between you and Jesus? Have you lost sight of Who He is?

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

It is His amazing grace that has saved us and it is His grace that will sustain us.

The beauty of suffering is it often brings us to a place that we have nowhere else to turn, but to Jesus. In this place, we are reminded that we need Him – oh, how we need Him! He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Rock of our Salvation, the Anchor for our Soul, the Lamb of God. He is our Friend. He is our Hope. And as He said, His grace is sufficient for us. As we look to Him, we find the power to take a breath, to take the next step, and to do what He would have us to do.

Jesus is enough. His grace is enough. He provides all that we need. Our part is to look to Him, turn to Him, and many times even run to Him. He will be there… waiting… waiting for us to recognize His presence, to offer us His peace, and to provide us His power.

His grace – His amazing grace – is sufficient for me.

Because of His grace – today I can choose to be grateful. I am grateful that Daddy has received his reward and is where we all long to be. I am so grateful that he was my Daddy and that God gave us 84 years with Him. I am grateful for all he taught me and the way he loved me. I am grateful for the legacy he has passed to not only me and my brothers, but to our children and grandchildren. We are blessed to have had such a wonderful Daddy and Grandaddy.

But even more than that, I am grateful for Jesus. He is mine and I am His and therefore, I am immensely grateful.

Today – I pray that in the midst of your circumstances you can be grateful for who Jesus is and what He has done for you. No matter your circumstances – His grace is sufficient for you.

Hi friend 🤍

If you’ve ever felt called to more… but unsure what your next step is—you are not alone.

My name is Pam Pegram, and I’m a Leadership and Personal Growth Coach who loves Jesus.

I help Christian women gain clarity, build confidence, and step into Christ-centered influence—at work, in their community, and at home.

Because you were never meant to just get by…
You were created to live with purpose, impact others, and walk fully in what God has for you.

Here’s what I believe:

  • If you are a believer, you are called to lead

  • Leadership is influence—being salt and light (Matthew 5)

  • It’s not about position, personality, or platform

  • It’s about living on purpose right where God has placed you

How do we do that?

Through the Called to Lead Framework, where we focus on:

✔️ The formation of you as a leader (identity, mindset, beliefs)
✔️ The formation of your leadership (connection, vision, influence)
✔️ The practical application of impacting others and leaving a legacy

Now that you’re here—let’s stay connected 🤍
