Am I Called to Ministry

Am I Called to Ministry?

Have you ever wondered if you are called to ministry? You see others serving, publicly talking about Jesus, and even starting non-profits. It makes you wonder, am I called to ministry?

If we are a child of God, then we are called to ministry. We are to be about our Father’s business. But… that doesn’t mean that we need to have an official ministry title or official ministry geared business or job. It means that no matter what we are doing, no matter our life circumstances, we must remember who we are and whose we are.

All throughout scripture, we find the responsibilities of God’s children – those who proclaim to love Him with all of their heart, soul, and mind. We read about Jesus and the example He set for us to follow. As we study, we can conclude that as Christians, we are called to love God and love people, to serve others, to share the Gospel and to make disciples, to live a life of holiness and purity, and to be a good steward of all that God has given us.

So, the real question is…

How can we fail to recognize that we are called to ministry?

Where have we gotten the idea that we should mind our own business, take care of our own family, and live a quiet, solitude life? That certainly is not what Jesus did. As a boy, as a carpenter, and as the Messiah – He was always about His Father’s business.

No matter what we are doing…

No matter where we are working…

No matter who we are around…

No matter our circumstances…

No matter our title…

No matter our personality or our comfort zone…

No matter our level of education...

No matter our age…

We are called to love, to serve, to share Jesus, to point others to Him, to be holy, to be pure, and to be a good steward of what He has given to us all day every day. And don’t forget, that includes loving Him, resting in Him, and spending time with Him. He is not to be a small part of our day, but a part of everything we do all throughout our day.

What do you do when ministry opportunities arise? Do you minister or do you miss it?

Let’s stop missing it. Let’s ask God to open our eyes and make us aware of every opportunity He sends our way to point others to Him in our workplace, in our community, and in our family.

Do you want a tool that will help you know what to do and how to do it when ministry opportunities arise?

L – Lean into the truth of God’s word, your relationship with Jesus, and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Don’t try to go it alone. You and God – together showing up to minister to others.

E – Elevate your perspective – it’s not all about you and the here and now – see things from a higher vantage point and realize the situation is about others and the example you are to set.

A – Accept the responsibility as a child of God do what He is calling you to do – love, serve, offer grace, be a friend, encourage, give, listen, respond, be honest, do what is right, etc.

D – Do it all – everything you do – for the glory of God.

Now, go be about your Father’s business today. We have people to love, people to serve, and people who are waiting for us to point them to Jesus. Let’s rise up as daughters of the King and answer the call of ministry.

I am praying for you…

Pam

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith. Hebrews 13:7

Hi friend 🤍

If you’ve ever felt called to more… but unsure what your next step is—you are not alone.

My name is Pam Pegram, and I’m a Leadership and Personal Growth Coach who loves Jesus.

I help Christian women gain clarity, build confidence, and step into Christ-centered influence—at work, in their community, and at home.

Because you were never meant to just get by…
You were created to live with purpose, impact others, and walk fully in what God has for you.

Here’s what I believe:

  • If you are a believer, you are called to lead

  • Leadership is influence—being salt and light (Matthew 5)

  • It’s not about position, personality, or platform

  • It’s about living on purpose right where God has placed you

How do we do that?

Through the Called to Lead Framework, where we focus on:

✔️ The formation of you as a leader (identity, mindset, beliefs)
✔️ The formation of your leadership (connection, vision, influence)
✔️ The practical application of impacting others and leaving a legacy
